While much of my farrier work is done at your barn, a shop and forge is helpful for making custom hand forged shoes. Making up shoes in my shop saves time once I arrive at your barn. In addition, there are some types of hand forged shoes that are better suited to be made in a shop with a larger coal/coke forge and a 250 pound anvil.
